Hi
Sorry for sounding dense. As I can't get this to play could someone qualify the end volume. Is it 4.5lt as G1976 achieves ?
Regards

15 sounds more reasonable than originally quoted.  ;)

What i dont understand is how 3.5kg onions only makes 9 portions!? :It's the exact same in volume as the Gharabi base if you get my drift..When i used the Gharabi i use to get about 14 currys....last night i made 9 currys for familly and friends.. I think i had enough left over for another 3 currys or so..hope that helps my friend...anymore questions fire away.........thanks bud...I Know i said earlier on it makes 9 well it makes 12 i do apologise.......... I'm going back next door until things calm down a wee bit lol

bb1 why are you quoting people and then not putting in a reply underneath - I don't understand that?

I think you'll find that the latter part of the "quote" is not a quote at all but a reply.

after portioning up the next day when base had eventually cooled...(was still warm at 5.30AM after turning off heat at approx 11PM)

I ended up with TEN 300ml portions of base.

tis all my humble old pot would hold to be honest :(

(my grannys old soup pot.....it's seen more action than Jordan :) )
