Maybe if you had been upfront from day 1 and said you've only been in the TA for 2 weeks and the recipe was a work in progress, rather than saying you've been there for 6 months and the 7kg recipe was the definitive curry base, things might not have escalated the way they did?

Anyway, You've got baws, so welcome back.  ;)

I, for one, think we can't have enough recipes on here. ESPECIALLY for base sauces.

So, I'm thankful you did come back to post your revised version here (and with video even) and not only on that other (pay-walled) website.

The arguing around here is hopefully over soon as the spring sun rays brighten everone's mind :)

Thanks for posting bb1, I've got this base on the go now as I've just run out of current (Zaal) base. Smells very good so far

There's one bit in the video that is not quite clear:
You write "1.4 block creamed coconut" -> do you mean a 4" piece of creamed coconut of about 1cm width/thickness ? It sure looks more like it from the video.

Aah, so it's "1/4" block. Thanks for the clarification, BB1!

here we go...step by step to my curry nirvana...

35 onions chopped in 10 minutes...CHOP  CHOP...into the pot we go...

after a couple of hours bubbling away...notice how much the onions have melted already...

the spices all ready to be sacrificed to the Great God of the Curry Pot.....

spices chucked in....

after a wee while simmering away

nearly there thank God..its now half past 11 LOL

blended...job done...wonderful aroma...wonderful taste

just need to sort out a good madras recipe now...

BB1...Thanks again...Legend
