Oh dear. I'm getting old and my brain flips out sometime!

I've just realised this is the curry that I posted in the vegetable curries section!

In fact, it was this very post that alerted me to the recipe in the first place!!

Wife is one of those weird veggies, so I tried this last night. Something a bit different, but packed with flavour. One of the best veggy curreis I've had, although it's not really BIR.

I was a bit worried that the whole spices and seeds may give it a "crunchy" texture, but I think the 30-40 mins cooking softened them enough not to really notice. Just the odd bite into a clove and cardomon which gives a bit of a taste explosion, which I like. I did remove the cinnamon and bay leaves though.

I think it would be great with chicken or lamb in there. Would be very easy just to add some pre-cooked just before the end of cooking.

Hello Everybody!!

Garp is correct, I'm guilty. But I have never started any forums or whatever, just been on here for years and posted (not been active for quite a while). I just decided to log in and check what's been happening recently, and spotted this.

Still do cook curries, but not as regular as I used to, but have kept the document up to date, so I have uploaded the latest version I have done in the link below. And yes, it was really just a collection of my favourite recipes, mostly taken from here and a few books, and a few of my own, with some added "noob" information..

Hopefully getting towards semi-retirement soon, so will be getting back to cooking more curries!

Cheers, Andy.

Love NZ Marlborough! Tesco finest version is very good.

Whiskys, love peaty ones, like this Ardbeg Uigeadail -

https://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/ardbeg-uigeadail-whisky/

An explosion in your mouth, especially at 54% proof!  :o

Also, just about my favourite, best all round whisky is Old Pulteney 21 year old, fantastic stuff -

Also partial to some good bourbons.

If you are after cheap whisky, gin, liquors have a look here (about 20-30% cheaper for very good gins, malt whiskys and bourbons).

Hi sverige. I didn't say it was better than my own base - I haven't had chance to properly compare yet. However, it did produce good results, better than I expected.

It does need blending though.
