I'm new to this fantastic forum - I have bought all the spices I think I need and had a go at making a chicken curry.

Started out making my own base mix using lazy onions/tinned carrots/chicken stock/peppers/canelli beans and a tsp of mild curry powder and blended it.

For the actual spices I used one of the madras receipes - anyway long story short it tasted bloody awful!

It had that raw, high taste/smell you get from those jars you buy at the supermarket.

I won't give up - love the passion on this site.
