Lets Talk Curry / Re: Shish Mahal Restaurant - Home Cooking Method

I actually started off with this book as my first venture into the world of curry making. I never did find any of the recipes came close to "the taste" or "the smell" infact they were as far from a BIR that I have came across. I think the recipes are to busy with to many tastes and your palate just gets a bit lost with all the different flavours. It is probably more like authentic indian recipes than anything else. If you are searching for "the taste" im afraid this book isnt the one for you. There are some great recipes which come within inches of the taste on this forum. This is all just my humble opinion. I would be interested to know if anyone else has tried it and what your thoughts on it were.

Yeah I did think it was too simple an option. I guess I will just have to throw out the washing machine and replace it with a tandoor lol.
