Hi friends ,
I was in a new Asian supermarket last week and saw this on the shelf ... something I read on here ( maybe from Natterjac ) about how nice this stuff is made me buy a jar but I have no idea what to do with it or how to use it .. if any of you use this sauce would you be kind and let me know how / what to do with it please.
Thanks in anticipation ;) :)

To be fair it was chewytikka who first mentioned it on the forum and I bought it on the back of his recommendation, so the credit for this piece of info goes to him.
I use it as a substitute for tamarind sauce (made from concentrate) wherever that appears in a recipe. It will add a delicious savoury taste to a curry.
The chef in chewy's "videod my supper" thread uses it in his special dhansak: http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=8326.0 (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=8326.0)
I used it in my "curry with no name": http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=8398.msg74268#msg74268 (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=8398.msg74268#msg74268)
And it also goes well in curryhell's north Indian special: http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=5948.msg65894#msg65894 (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=5948.msg65894#msg65894) (in place of the tamarind concentrate)
I think you could safely add 1 tbs to the end of the tarka stage of whatever your favourite curry is and you'll find it adds a savoury richness to the dish.
