So what do you think of my Lamb Curry Recipe ? Thank you :)

Hi Sammy
You are not getting much response to your video because it is not what this forum is all about,
most people here are interested in learning how to cook British Indian Restaurant (BIR) curries in their own home.
Which is a batch curry, cooked using a base gravy (Garabi) and precooked meats and sometimes vegetables.
All put together and finished in under 10 minutes.
You seem to be doing Traditional home cooked style, maybe you should look for a forum that does that style of cooking.
cheers Chewytikka :)

I'm very sorry to need to say this, but you're not taking the hint are you? Several members have expressed surprise at the number of videos and non-relevant posts you are making, and you still continue posting them. It might be different if you first made some contribution to the forum in terms of feedback or similar on some of the BIR recipes but all you seem to do, is post links to youtube videos which are not very relevant to this forum at all. Your lamb curry recipe has now been posted three times: (1) in Lets talk about anything other than curry (2) in Curry Videos and now (3) in Let's Talk about curry. It's getting beyond a joke! I removed (1) yesterday because it was duplicating (2). I know you are a real person and not the normal type of 'spammer' but you are trying our patience. And please don't thank me and repeat that you are happy to be here. As Chewy Tikka says, you'd be better off on a forum which concentrates on 'general cooking' or such like. Unless members say they'd prefer to leave any future 'non-relevant' posts you make, I propose deleting them as if they are spam. If you like cooking, try a few of the BIR recipes on this site, and let us know what you think.

Nicely put George .. I was polite and encouraging to start with but I agree Sam has had opportunity enough to sample and comment on the recipes here if she feels inclined. To keep posting irrelevant recipes is a little insensitive to this forum which exists to try to emulate BIR .. nothing more or less.
Sorry Sam but ... (moderated) or get off the potty .
-
Thought I seen a post about pizza the other day by one of our members;) maybe it had a vindaloo topping ;D

Sorry Les ,
You're quite right , other recipes are a welcome change from time to time. To persistently post non BIR recipes and nothing but non BIR is a little less welcome bearing in mind for what we stand on cr0.
Where's the link for that vindaloo pizza ! ;)
-
It wouldn't be so bad if some of the recipes actually looked edible. I just can't imagine a curry with a load of olives in it. :o

I agree, even though it's difficult to explain the difference. Established members can post about pizzas or other non-curry dishes and most people don't mind; indeed many people welcome it. There is a difference.

George, what are you trying to say here, That new members can't post any recipes except bir curry's until they have established themselves. and how long would that be according to your good self,
I'm not saying that sam is right, In fact i think she is out of order, all she want's is praise for her recipes. >:(

i love you
I love you too Sam but that's not the issue here!
-
There is neither reason nor sense in allowing this issue to descend into disagreement between established forum members.
It seems quite clear that "Sam" has no interest in BIR curries and is solely intent on promoting her own, limited repetoire of video recipes which, incidentally, are replicated over dozens of food and recipe related websites.
Surely, the simplest thing to do would be to delete her account and move on.
Only my opinion.

Now you've thrown a spanner in the works by sort of contradicting yourself. I think you know what I meant. It can't really be quantified but Sam's stance just seems out of order as everyone seems to agree, including you. So are you saying that new members can post whatever they like, that it's OK, and Sam should not be 'struck off'?
-
Guys 'n' Gals, although this site is predominantly BIR cooking don't forget there are also sections for Traditional Indian Cooking,Chinese and Thai, perhaps Sam could post in the Traditional Indian section if at all possible :-\

George
Yes, to the first question, innocent until proven guilty.
No to the second question, been proven guilty, off with her head ;D
And I agree with Naga,
Why are we getting our panties in a bunch here. let it drop

I have to agree with Emin George, there are sections for talking about and posting whatever you like on this forum, and no Sammy should not be struck off, but her posts should be moved to the correct sections of the forum.....

This is quite a bizarre thread and the reason it seems odd is because of the original posts. Posting the same video three times and posting comments that somehow seem disconnected to the site and to the replies of members. It almost seems like a bot is posting. I am left wondering -what's going on?
Therefore I can relate to George's opinions.
-
I agree with emin-j & 976bar, move the posts to the correct sections and maybe pm sam to in future post in the correct place.
I myself found this website by searching for Chinese recipes.

I agree Stephen, Sammy should be PM'd by one of the moderators but I don't think she should be struck off....

I know we're all guilty of going off topic but the nearest Sam has been is the curry vid. Either start posting stuff relevant to the forum Sam or find a more suitable site for your posts. Ok can we now get back to business guys and at least talk bir before we digress ::)

OK. I'll move this thread to traditional recipes even though I suspect the recipe was probably invented last week, rather than being very traditional as such. I've already deleted the other two duplicate threads relating to exactly the same video.

First i want to thank George to Move my post to the right section, Second i want to say that it was not intentionally to post my videos in different sections of the forum but i thought that is allowed to do but from now on i will post in the right section . Thank you.
