I'd go for it big time .. what's life without a bit of danger eh. Please video it too just in case it does indeed blow .. I have often wondered what the result of one of those contraptions exploding would be.
If you need an assistant please give me a call .. I'm well qualified since I tipped a litre of 'Brasso' onto the school brazier in metalwork ... that warmed the place up a bit and I have a similar feeling about your little number ... do call !!!

I've used pressure cookers for years, 12psi is absolutely fine. I wouldn't meddle M8. :o
