Several recipes on the site tell you to add a quantity of 'Restaurant Masala' Other recipes ask for 'Spice Mix'.
Are these the same thing?
If not can someone explain or post a link to what constitutes the Restaurant Masala or is it a shop bought thing or simply garam masala. I can find the 'spice mix' proportions of the various spices but not the masala
Thanks

This is exactly the sort of question I had hoped that the FAQ would remove the need for. Would it be possible to make it so that the FAQ is on the home page or somewhere more obvious so that it is the first thing that newcomers read?

To confuse you more....
the garam masala spices are normally roasted then ground,
but i have also seen garam masala shown a whole
spices ready to pop into the pan, normally
about 5-7 diffrent whole spices or leaves of diffrent qty's.

I have added a link to the FAQ's which should pop up in the "News Box" at the top right of the screen. I will add a more permanent link soon.
