Title: Tomato Chilli dip

hi,
the local curry house ( now closed down ) when served with  the pickle tray at the start of the meal you got lime pickle , mint cutney , onion and tomato salad , but they also had a hot chilli sauce/cutney .This was tops , he said he made it by boiling tomatoes taking off the skins . but the rest of the recipe  i have forgotten .Does anydoby have any ideas please
