Hi all just joined up to this intresting site, just like to say hello to everyone and i'm looking forward to sharing my very little knowledge.
What im really after is the best curry/gravy base that you can use in a variety of spicy dishes and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.

Hi resdoginc,
Firstly, welcome to the forum, it's an Aladin's cave of wonderful recipes and help from fellow members.
My favourite base right now is Taz's, except I substitute 100ml of the normal oil for a spicy hot oil. I have just re-vamped my Chicken Madras recipe (posted on here today) using that and I made a wonderful Bhuna last week.
But there are a variety of base sauces on here to try and the majority of them are all good, it's just experimenting, and finding which one is the closest to your liking then amending it to suit your taste 100%
Happy cooking :)

Hi resdoginc,
Welcome to the forum, my brother lives in Seaburn Dene.
My favourite base is also the Taz, made to spec. and excellent for Madras, Jalfrezi etc.
Enjoy.
