Hi Guys,
Just thought i'd propose a pilau group test, as , above all, this is one dish 95% of people will have with a curry, so its highly important to get right, like roast spuds with a sunday roast!
Its relativley easy, cheap, and not too time consuming, and any newbie would appreciate the results IMO.
I would be happy to participate if its agreed.
Matt
Of course i've got to be up for this one ;D
I'd be happy to take part, but since I've only ever cooked pilau once before, I'm not sure my expertise is at a level where I should be passing judgement on people's recipes.
I'd be happy to participate in this. May be time to start suggesting what recipes we use keeping it to about 5 recipes?
Barry
Just thought i would bump this topic has i am looking for a good Pilau recipe.
Yep, I'm up for this one as well. I think it would be a good idea to get the 'CTM group test' done and dusted before moving onto this though (hopefully it's nearly there).
I think we could at least put the contenders together. My 1st choice is CA's pilau recipe
Regards
Barry
We did say a while back that when we do these group tests it would be good to see how a 'published' recipe was thrown into the mix so, If everyone is in agreement, I would like to put forward Kris Dhillon's pilau rice recipe from The New Curry Secret.
I will put the recipe on here later tonight, just off to watch England get brought back down to earth by Sweden :'(
Ray :)
So where are all the results from this sub section?
I only see 4 or 5 at the top but no base sauce reslts or for this thread as an example

??? ???
This was a post about group testing pilau rice recipes, not base sauce. Unfortunately, it didn't get off the ground :(
