Hi came across this contraption while browsing youtube. The chef is obviously excited about it as he is endorsing it, but what do you think???

I think that Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi was paid a considerable sum of money to endorse this product, as evidenced by the number of times that he used the exact phrase "gas oven tandoor".

Yes hes completely ott and like err possessed. It looks like its never been used before, so clean so shiney ;D always a give away.
But with out trying the "gas oven tandoor" who knows, all i will say is it looks a bit small or that chicken is massive ;)
One the positive side it could save energy if you cooking for 1 or 2 peeps
so that has to be good.

He is obsessed and probably paid a lot of money........ but the Chicken did look good and I reckon you could achieve that on the BBQ..... :)

Hi
This seams to be a stove top replacement for the oven that we are so use to in the west. Very clever idea when you conceder that a single burner is the norm in that part of the world. If you look at other vids on this you will see a baking ring in some, seams to originate in the far east.

Clever bit of kit, but it won't replace my oven at 250c ;) I will however, be trying his recipe for tandoori chicken tomorrow and enjoyed his comments on the use of colouring.
As an aside, he gets full credits for keeping his chef's white's extremely white and I like the watch he was sporting. ;D
