Title: Use of whole spices

So, based on some ideas that cropped up today, this evening's curry will have (in addition to my normal whole green cardamom seeds [not pods]), 1 whole black cardamom, a couple of fragments of cinnamon, a piece of galangal, 1 medium bay leaf, a few methi leaves, a few more curry leaves, and 1 whole red chilli.  Report later, after we've eaten.
