Title: Just found this site :)
Post by: luke465 on December 15, 2010, 04:51 PM
Hi all,

So pleased that I have found this site to try.  I have tried so many recipes in the past and spent lots of time reading Indian cook books and never really satisfied myself with the dishes that I have cooked.  I hope that some of the recipes here will kick the curry craving that only I can seem to get from a restaurant.  Cant wait to try.......

Anyway, I like spicy / hot curries !!!!  Can anyone recommend a recipe here that will certainly impress me......................

Thanks

hey luke

pick a base and work from there, you might need to do a wee bit of surfing to get the gist but it's worth the effort

I was never happy with my curry until I found this site. You'll do well here Luke (isn't that from Star Wars?)

Hi Luke,

You could try one of CA's recipes - the base sauce recipe is here:

Not my favourite but a lot of people seem quite happy with it.

You will find CA's recipes in the individual sections for Madras, Vindaloo etc.

His recipes are very well presented and clear to follow.

His spice mix or mix powder calls for powdered green cardamom so you need to make sure you can find this as well as all the other ingredients.

Hope this helps

Paul
