Have Ordered books online but they just don't give that BIR taste or appearance.
Just ordered Undercover curry book , hopefully this combined with info from this website will get me that BIR experience , having been here 10 years really miss my night out in the curry House
 :)

welcome to the forum denno, there's a whole thread on the undercover curry book but you might wish to start by going to the curry base section and picking a popular base then maing some dishes with it?

I think this is one of the reasons that this forum sometimes stagnates. It's not just you Stephen, it's a lot of other people too, but why do we insist on shoving the 'popular' bases down the throats of the new members?

By doing this it prevents other equally worthy bases from being given their fair share of the limelight. We then get stuck in a two or three base rut whereas we should be trying as many bases as possible.

After all what we consider good bases are, for the most part, a matter of personal preference anyway.
