Hi,
As you may know, Hindu's are starting to celebrate their 'festival of light or Diwali' today.
I work with a Hindu colleague who is a very gentle and kind soul. Yesterday, he brought in some samosa's and pakora's for us all to enjoy. These were vegetable varieties and really quite spicy.
They were very very different to anything that I'd had previously form a BIR or TA. Whilst they were very nice, for me at least, they wasn't as nice as the BIR version (feel terrible in saying that really).
This surprised me a little, as yes, you can imagine a BIR curry being very different to that of a traditional dish but I wouldn't have thought that there would be such a difference with things such as samosa's and other 'teatime savouries'?
Has anybody else received anything from an Hindu friend or likely to? I'd be interested to hear how the food compares to your BIR version.
Ray :)
