Anyone recommend a good BIR in the city centre I know about the balti triangle but I will be only in the city centre for a few hours in a few weeks time?

Hi
Are you there for lunch or twenty four hours? Staying on Broad street? These little bits would help. Either way you'll have a good meal.

Ended up going to Manzil's in digbeth food was really fresh got a sheek kebab chicken balti mushroom pilau rice and chutneys, popadums etc. Service was really good and friendly i had had quite abit to drink by the time i got there so decided against having a madras or vindaloo and just had a chicken balti was quite tasty but did miss the heat but didn't want to risk it. ;D Felt stuffed just after the sheek kebabs were like to quarter pounder burgers nice and spicy with fried onions and salad.

Hi just thought id give my opinion on birmingham curry houses as im from there
The so called balti tiangle has always disapointed me, sometimes i feel they are knocking so many dishes out each night the quality suffers.
my current favourite is the Rajnagar in yardley, bit pricier than average but excellent food.
most of the curry houses are a much of a muchness. i know one owner and his chef has trained quite a few of the cooks throughout parts of brum so they are all knocking out the same recipes, which are simplistic in taste in my opinion.
my trips to india have probably made my expections too high as the food there was for the most part class, the grubbiest restruants were the best :o
