On making the forum a really interesting place again. There is a definite relaxed air about the place.

does seem real good - maybe down to just being away for a while. friendliness (mutual coperation) is the only way we will achieve our goal.

i did sense one tense post by George but i'm very conscious myself that it's very hard to write always with the receiver in mind and be sure u're not going to upset - if we are on the receiving end then a bit of tolerance works wonders.

hear's to my new curry pots (single portion volume) - could not resist adding a pic on this happy note.

I agree the forum has been focussed on curries rather than personalities. There's been a couple of great threads by jb and Mark too that I think have rejuvenated the place. By the way I like the bowls Jerry - where did you get them?

Hi
Must admit, the relaxed air is preferred. JerryM had a dabble at the Gurkha yet?

amazingly i've never been to the balti triangle in brum and had planned a trip to sparkbrook over the summer. with work i never made it so a friend got them for me somewhere in the midlands. i could find out where if there's interest. i'm sure most asian stores will stock. they really look the real deal and i'm well looking fwd to using them.

commis,

the yellow booklet sits pride of place in my kitchen with KD1. No not yet cooked using it - there load's in it that i'm taken to and want to have a go at. the general instruction to heat the oil (actually ghee or butter) to a blue haze tickles me and at the same time demonstrates real knowledge of the subject. intend to get some posts going as i get cooking again.
