Ok guy's,
I bought a tin of brown chick peas a few weeks back on my visit to my local Asian SM. I've have no idea why, nor do I have any idea as to what to do with them. Everytime I open my cupboard, they are there, staring at me, and they are beginning to get on my tits now.
Anybody have any ideas, as to what I can do with them?
Ray :)

How about blending them with a bit olive oil, some garlic, maybe a 1/2 tsp of cumin, and you have hummus (even better with some tahini paste or maybe some toasted sesame seeds).
Hi Stehen,
The thought had crossed my mind, but having tried it in Cyprus, I wasn't too keen but thanks for the suggestion mate.

How about a Channa Masala Dopiaza,

Achmal,
Now that does look good. Have you got a recipe please?

Cheers Ray,
I didn't follow any particular recipe, I just went with what I know works,
Flavoured oil, chick peas, pre fried chunks of onion, garlic slices, tomato paste, 1 tbls of mix powder, 1 tspn of chilli, pinch of salt, pinch of methi, 250 ml of gravy, quartered tomatoes and coriander,
Mick
Good call AchMal, looks yummy
I was going to say to use them in a veg curry to bulk out the dish and add protein to the dish
Hi Chef,
It's a good call, and next time I do the other half a veggie bhuna, I think I'll slip some of these bad boy's in there.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Ray :)

You could just add them to your favourite curry dish as an extra. They work in Samosas too.
