Which is a pity. Even this new fangled book doesn't have many posting recipes.  ;D
I on the other hand have posted a few, both now and before.

In any case I look at it from a different viewpoint, that of hit-points, constants in all recipes, regardless of BIR/Trad methods.
It would be nice to see a few NEW recipes, cropping up.

I agree Mikka,

Annnnd even if it has nothing to do with Indian food, it might get this website back to where it should be.

Soooooooooo, everyone, if you have a favourite recipe, be it Indian or whatever that you would like to share with us then lets make this weekend as an open forum to kick start all this off again :)

I love talking food and love sharing recipes and would post more recipes on here but none of the recipes I have posted for dishes non curry related have had any feed back so I don't bother anymore.

I'd love to post more curry related recipes but I simply have more to learn than I can offer. I had planned to do more kitchen demo's but I just haven't had the time to get back to do this.

Hi Ray,

I've had very little time for anything of late. Work has been very hectic, but i'm not complaining. i'm back down the gym working off all this curry I have been eating too.  ::) So that takes up quite a bit of time.

Hope to be taking part in the Tikka Group test soon though. :)

Have you forgotten the amount of crap that people got from certain quarters for posting non-curry related recipes/threads? lol it hardly encourages people to post which is a real shame...we should be encouraged to help one another out in whatever way we can, not lambasted and harrassed for months for helping out....plus it gives the forum a much needed friendlier air. Never known anything like that on any other board ???

Hi

Well nearly every one who asked for a copy of the Gurkha recipes has gone AWOL. Or I've poisoned them !

I posted a recipe here
http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=667.20 (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=667.20)
But let's face it, I've done it almost identically before
Still tasted great though
I regularly see curries cooked, but I've posted those too, so I guess there really isn't much point in repeating

Hi CA and SS are both taking a 30 day holiday from the forum to allow them both to calm down.
They still have full access and can read posts and private messages.

They just can not post for 30 days.

This was my decision and no one elses.

im still around, though not participating often.

i think its the anticipation of waiting for the final cast iron curry that will surely come from the couple of posters getting lessons from some real bir chefs.

i feel no point debating or posting recipes till we know the outcome of these lessons.

Don't hold your breath! I suggest that two further conditions are necessary:

1. The "real BIR chefs" will need to come from the 1 place in 10 that (still) serves really tasty BIR food, rather than from the 9 other places which serve lesser fare.

2. The chef will need to be prepared to hand over the exact same recipes, rather than any old recipe (downgraded) which will look plausible to the punter but won't mean the chef is actually giving too much away.
