Hi CN,

It really depends on what you mean by Karahi mate.  One of my local restaurants describes many dishes as Karahi, such as, 'Karahi Chicken tikka madras, or Karahi Lamb dupiaza.

The reason they do this, is to disassociate themselves with the word 'Balti'.  A Karahi, is basically a Balti wok/pan.  Karahi dishes are usually served in small karahi's or balti dishes.

Was there something in particular that you were looking for?

A Karahi is not dissimilar from a Bhuna, just different regions I guess. (Karahi being the pot they cook/serve it in).

They are normally both a rich thick sauced dish of medium strength, with pretty much the same main ingredients, i.e. meat of some nature, tomatoes, peppers, onions.......

Maybe the spices vary widely, but we know that from every dish/region........
