Title: Hello from Houston, TX
Post by: currybabz on May 28, 2010, 04:00 AM
Hi everyone, I moved to Houston with my hubby and son from Aberdeen (almost) 2 years ago and cannot I repeat cannot find a decent curry anywhere.  I occasionally find a jar of pataks or the likes but it's nothing like a real 'british' curry.

So after some moderate success making my own scones, rowies (aberdeen breakfast speciality) etc. I think I have to turn my hand to making my own curry.

I like mild fruity nutty curry's (I know I am a lightweight) and normally opt for a korma or murgh makhani type curry and my local back home did a great curry topped with omelette.  I miss the whole thing - poppadoms, bhajis - at this point I would even settle for an Asda curry.

If anyone can point me in the direction of a great recipe to get me started it would be appreciated.

Welcome to CR0, for Bhaji I certainly recommend having a look at the IG Onion Bhaji Kitchen Demo.  ;)
