Title: How do BIR's keep their rice warm?
Post by: nai on April 21, 2010, 04:28 PM
Hiya

Bit of an odd question (maybe) but I was wondering: when the BIR's have made their rice, how do they keep it warm without spoiling it?  :-\

Apparently in the old days it used to be kept warm in an oven but, as far as I can tell, it now gets portioned up in the takeaway boxes and is microwaved!

My local keeps it warm in trays in the oven!

Yeah, and I think by microwaving the rice, it actually improves the texture too.
