Title: Authentic Balti Curry Book
Post by: raygraham on September 01, 2005, 08:49 AM
Hi All,

Don't know if anyone else has recieved an e-mail with an update to publication of the book Authentic Balti Curry, Restaurant Recipes Revealed.
I have got an e-mail today saying it is about four weeks from being available and can be purchased from their website? www.baltibook.co.uk . It also mentions a better price on this site for both the book and posting charges although they are not taking pre-orders at the moment.

Don't know about you but my mouth is watering already! That's one for the christmas stocking or sooner!

I'm looking forward to this book as well. The only problem is that I'm not too keen on balti dishes. Does the book include recipes for traditional favourites like CTM, chicken korma and saag aloo? I hope so.

Regards
George

Hi George,

If you go to www.baltibook.co.uk it will answer your question. There is a link to the total recipe index that will be in the book. I think it is going to cater for all tastes judging by what I have seen. There is a recipe for CTM and also Bombay Potato but not specifically Saag Aloo although adding Spinach to the Bombay Pot would probably be as close.
I am not a keen Balti fan either but I think many restaurants just use the Balti name and hide their standard curries behind it. Just depends where you go.

Mark, Ray

Many thanks for pointing out and linking to the index. Wow! This book looks good but, such is the promise, that the fall from grace will be even greater that with Pat Chapman's books if it fails to deliver. I'm hopeful if will deliver. The philosophy stated, as well as positive comments from Blondie, etc, all look good.

Regards
George

I was just about to buy this book thinking I could get it in 'ebook' format, but it appears to be only in paperback. Is this correct?
