I'll start off by saying that were all aware that duck & pork are rarely, if not, ever used in Indian recipes. However - this voting poll doesen't necessarily base itself on Indian cuisine. what type of meat, tickles your taste buds?
Mine, has to be lamb - no doubt! I find that boiled lamb (no herbs or spices added & not sealed) is quite delicious. Sometimes... adding lamb into a strong dish - drowns out its flavour.

Chicken tikka for me
-
Beef = JACK DANIEL'S? King of Steaks, 14oz of rib eye steak coated with Jack Daniel's? glaze, (from TGI Fridays).
Chicken = Chicken Tikka or chicken bacon and cheese melt.
Lamb = lamb tikka or kebab or lamb hotpot.
Pork = Roast pork with apple sauce, and nice crunchy salted pieces of skin.
Rabbit = in a stew
Duck = not realy got into, tasted a few times but hasn't caught me taste buds yet.

Tell you whats nice! Sweet & sour chicken, coated in a crispy batter. I do have a problem with Chinese food though. A lot of it - is quite sickly & before you're full up, you cant eat anymore. Oily foods like curries, don't bother me. In fact - the more grease in a curry, the more ill eat.
Duck: Never was keen on duck meat.
Pork: Don't touch it coz of my beliefs.
Beef: Probably just behind lamb in preference. McDonald's Bigmacs are crap compared to Burgerkings whoppers !! I just don't know why so many people prefer Mc'D's than B'king. I suppose its the amount of ad's they put on the telly.
Chicken: Mexican Chicken fajitas are so yummy. Couldn't stop eating them when i was in the states.
Lamb: Without doubt in my mind, the tastiest meat of them all. It probably sounds boring but boiled meat (no spices or herbs added) is Simply delicious !

PARROTT !!
-
Heheheheheh nice one ray.
How about sheep wings !!!!!! ;D
-
When creating a poll, there arenet enough poll bars? (5 max) - so i had to stick with the meats, otherwise it would have been nice to have included seafood too.
Seafood: King prawns for me curryqueen.

Whats your problem Darth and Ray? Too many men on the forum or not enough women? Every comment I make there is some victicious comment. Wonder where Merrybaker went? She was a women too! Don't like women on the site eh?

Whats your problem Darth and Ray?? Too many men on the forum or not enough women??
Not at all Curry Queen!
It's only a little bit of fun for those with a sense of one! I think you will find there are far more serious postings on this site than anything else and I don't believe all your postings recieve "victicious" comments.
I enjoy this lighthearted "open" forum with lot's of good advice but enjoy a laugh too as I know Darth does. I have just got him into trouble for nowt!
My job ( Paramedic ) demands I retain a sense of humour or it would have driven me round the bend and onto the funny farm ages ago! I deal with mega sadness every day so humour is one of my lifelines.
I actually added my vote to the poll right at the start ( mine was chicken and vote number 7 ) so do participate as much as I can and with seriousness too. My "Parrott" comment came from another member likening the taste of his curry to the bottom of a Parrott cage! (remember Monty Python?). I think we can all say wev'e cooked a few like that!
I have recently participated a lot on this forum and do not mean to be vindictive or patronising and don't wish to offend anyone whatever sex they are! I am only too pleased to share my knowledge and anything else I have with anybody.
Please don't take things personally!!
If I have offended you I apologise and have absolutely no problem with the balance of the sexes on this site. The more folk who participate the merrier for me, I keep learning such a lot from you all!
Let's all keep working happily together to achieve our goal.
Regards
Ray

Prawns
I normally get a prawn rhogan josh or a prawn vindaloo amongst other favourites!
-
Ray you are a breath of fresh air. ;D
It was a bit of fun( a mysterious concept to few i fear) as i`ve already put my serious vote in already .
& not wanting women on the forum were did that come from ???
Perhaps you have your own personal issues to deal with, i don't think this is the appropriate place for them, i also think it unfair to attack Ray & myself, when "Parrot" , "sheep wings" or was it when i asked were King Prawns were in our little poll was all that was said, if there is something underlying in those posts please enlighten us.
I will not apologize for my post( even though i would not know what to apologize for) ive just got back in to posting on this forum & would you believe i told a friend at work today what i had posted & my very words to him were " I bet someone has a go at me for it".
By the way Chicken is my favorite meat followed by shellfish & then fish (sorry if the food items mentioned in this post offend) but we all must learn to be tolerant to new cultures & their thoughts.
Love & best wishes...Forever yours DARTHPHALL............ ;D

I used to post quite frequently on this forum at one time but have never had any positive feedback from my efforts! Are you sure its not just men who think that they can cook a curry on this forum? And do you think that it is only men who can tackle a hot, hot phall?
Ray, now I know what job you are doing and what a very worthy and lifesaving one you do, I can understand why you "need to let your hair down" as the saying goes. It must be very hard to cope sometimes with day to day occurences. Darth? Is yours one of the same with lots of pressure in this life? It just seems sometimes that its all men together! Oh well, time to forgive and forget and just remember that there are some women on this forum and we would like to be heard! Maybe a poll should be done to see how many women are in this forum. Trouble is I do not know how to set it up. Bon appetite.

Now thats a nice reply.......thank you Curryqueen.
I have an I.T business & a full time job, But must admit to not suffering from the stress of life ( I'm one of the luck ones).
I believe that life is very short & very precious & try to bring smiles on peoples faces ( which i do all the time, its not as worth while as life saving etc.. "but you do what you can with what ya got" ).
I want people to read my silly posts & just smile that is it nothing more & hope we can all accept one another & our ways.
Actually i love women ( i will say no more ;)).
& yes you've had some negative replies ( not from me ) but don`t stop posting as you`ve played an important role in this forum & it would be a shame for you to not continue to do so.
Always yours DARTHPHALL........... ;D

I usually go for chicken when it comes to indian or chinese food as I've encountered too many gristly, fatty bits of meat for my liking, a shame because chicken is quite boring!
There was an indian takeaway shop near me that had duck, beef and several types of fish on the menu but they closed after a short time before I could try some.

Hi Curryqueen,
You keep on posting girl cos we want you too....................O.K.!!!!!!
I don't get replies to many of my posts either but just because I don't doesn't mean there are not loadsa folk out there reading my comments and taking something positive on board!
On the other hand they might think I am a complete Dork!
But never mind, who cares, if I give one person a small bit of inspiration I will be more than happy. I think this site is moving forward at great speed due to EVERYONE'S efforts. We are all doing our own thing and living different lives but we all have a common bonding.......................CURRY!!
And I think it's great that everyone has the passion enough to spend the hours they do chopping, blending, frying, boiling, stinking out the kitchen and scraping disasters into the bin so the rest of us can benefit with food fit for the Maharaja!
It's just an ace site isn't it!!
I work with loads of women who can cook blinding curries (especially the asian ones) and I keep pestering them for advice so I have no doubt women do just as well in the curry cooking stakes.
And as for men tackling a hot Phall I am afraid I must be a Wuss cos nowadays I don't go above a Madras.
And while I am here I would like to say to all you folk out there who browse the site and find it interesting.............let's know who you all are and why not join in, you will be very welcome, I know I have been made to feel part of the gang!
Now it's my time to go to work for another night shift on my Ambulance!!!!
Oh dear!? Saturday night. Pubs, clubs, beer, curries, fights, blood and guts!!!!! I hope it isn't full moon as well!!
Ah well, here we go again!!!!
See Ya all!
