Hi folks, looking for a few tried and tested curry recipes that dont require a base. The sort of thing you maybe stuck by before discovering base recipes or ones you call on when you have ran out of base.
I know that its not really the intention of this site but im pretty sure there are some excellent 'non base' recipes knocking around.
Thanks

hi , i recomend buying the "50 greatest indian curries" book. lots of classics in there, i have tried at least 30 of them. most are top notch . no base required :D

Thanks DD, I have just ordered the book and DVD from Amazon.
A few reviewers have commented that the water content is way out for some recipes and advise adding water slowly rather than following the recipe to the letter.
Should be interesting - I hope.

Yes this is one of the biggest headaches and gripes when cooking traditional. You'll get the hang of it and they are right since you can water it down too much thus negating taste and all of your hard work.
Good luck with it, I'm interested in hearing how you get on.
Best wishes.
