Title: To Ghee or Not to Ghee - Should I Use Ghee in My Curry Base?

dun no if i spelt it right btw, but allll the recipes i have seen so far for a decent curry not one i have seen uses gee, is it still used? :-\ ::)

cheers chicken lol btw i found a recipe online for a quick curry, ill try post link up later its a total AVOID! came out like tar was disgusting  :-\

i don't use ghee at all. i tried it once in base and it was way off my taste buds. i now use a little marg in base  (came up in the ashoka base) and find it's suits my taste buds.

i think some members add a little to the main dish towards the end of cooking. i would not personally full stop (unless the recipe specifically calls for it ie butter chicken - although i actually use marg in this too).

i hate marg lol i use veg or olive oil lol jus remember my dad usin it a lot
