Hi Jerry
Stacksteads is only a few miles away, on the matter of supporting Burnley its got to be a No .I dont watch it. To much money paid to overated players who wont give anything back to the  fans that pay the over inflated prices.
Or am i just jealous that I dig holes and dont have a wag on my arm! lol

Hello Dave

I lived in Padiham for about six months 20 or so years ago, given the number of T/As there I'm surprised anyone has a cooker let alone remembers how to use it, lol. Welcome to crO.

Regards
CoR.

dave90,

have some supporters in the family so can't comment too much. the recent match of the day 2 ladies day seemed real good.

i do keep saying i'll go to a match but my preference is to travel to the highest football ground in england and home matches seem more fun.

best wishes on the curry front.

ps used to frequent the Nila until booking for an empty restraint became a requirement. the ashoka there (not related to the north of the boarder) i thought very good too but expensive.

The most consistant resturant near me that i know of and at a very reasonable cost would be Balti Stan Clayton Le Moors  Nr Accrington.
And yes Padiham has more than its fair share of takeaways of all descriptions

dave90,

many thanks - i'll keep it in mind for when the opportunity comes up.

i must admit these days me and the good lady do like the ease of the local TA but a restaurant night out is just as good now and then too.

This is getting funnier and funnier. First we had Padiham which sounds like a cut of pork from an Irish pig, and now we have Balti Stan, no doubt accompanied by his wisecracking assistant, Pun Jabi !   ;D

There's not just Clayton-le-Moors, don't forget Clayton-le-Woods and its near neighbour Clayton-le-Dale! Good to hear the Balti Stan is keeping up the high standards, must go back it must be more than 10 years since I last went (it was called the Sagar then, I think).
Padiham, heck of a place, but whatever you do be very wary of entering the Bermuda Triangle at the beginning of t'top 'o town, you may never be the same again, lol.

BTW, those from Padiham are Padihamers, those from Blackburn are Blackburners and those poor unfortunates from Burnley are, Dingles!!

Cheers
