Has anyone tried dry roasting the spices to see if it improves the spice mix? How much difference does dry roasting really make?
It definitely makes them more aromatic. I only dry roast cumin, coriander, and garam masala.
Once every three months I make a new batch of each.

Just read the title of your thread which is "do BIR dry roast". I think the answer here is some do, most don't.
