Hi,

I'm new to the forum and would like to share out website with you.

http://www.currycouncil.com/ (http://www.currycouncil.com/)

The Curry Council was formed in the early 1990s and is an independent Indian restaurant review site and knowledge base.

Hope you enjoy the site and would appreciate your feedback.

Cheers

The Council noticed that probably around 70% of the restaurant clientele were Asian. This was a good sign of food quality & authenticity and things were looking promising.

Hmmm. If I saw a restaurant with a majority Asian clientelle it would be the last place I would go if I was looking for quality BIR. Most asians dislike the traditional BIR curries.

Don't forget, at least 4 beers per meal, 12 pints a day = 4380/547.5 pints/gallons per year.... ah happy days.

Thanks for the link, I'm sure some members (particularly those in the region) will find your reviews helpful.

Similarly, I'm sure some of your members would find this forum interesting and they are more than welcome to join us and hopefully share their knowledge and experience  8)

You guys need to branch out into other regions, I'd love to be able to read reviews like this for all the local restaurants in NE Hants (although I have eaten in most of them!).

Do you tell the restaurants you are reviewing them for a website? If so, do you get discounts on the food?

Thanks for your comments chriswg.   We are currently working on trying to make the Reviews section of our website national rather than regional, but this is going to take some time and a considerable amount of effort on our part. Currently we primarily focus our reviews on the South Manchester/Cheshire region, as thats where our members are located.

However, our news stories are national and we now try to publish a new article on a daily basis to appeal to the wider audience.

The site now has new functionality where visitors can submit their own reviews and comments on any of the restaurants that are listed on our site.  We would love to hear from any of the North-West based members of Curry Recipes Online forum and get their views on any of our restaurants visited.

Traditionally we arrive unannounced at each restaurant.  In more recent times we have received invites from a few restaurant owners and attended with them knowing that they were being reviewed.  We dont get money off as such but we do get looked after very well and dont ever go home hungry  ;)

Cheers
