My name's Mick and I live near Oxford.
I bought 'The curry secret' a few weeks ago and have just used the last of my curry sauce up so have been looking on ways to improve it (as I knew it was possible)
I can't believe the info on hand here, trying not to get too excited at the moment :P
I'm going to pick one of the sauces to do this afternoon and I'm really looking forward to it.
As a side note 'Deadman' is the name I use on most of the other sites I frequent and I registered with it as a force of habit...the name of my favourite Pearl Jam song as it goes...
Cheers.
Mick.

Deadman,
Best wishes.
i too can't believe the info on hand - simply fantastic. u're at the right place for sure and the curry secret or KD1 as i call it a real good starting place.

That's good to know Jerry and thanks.
Well I've done a lot of research this morning and I'm gonna kick off with SnS's base sauce and make George's Korma with it.
Don't particulary like Korma myself but my wife does and I want to emulate my local takeaway's (which is very good). Wish me luck :)

i do wish u luck. i've found there's a lot of trial and error and hit and miss on consistency. just got to accept the mistakes but when u get it right u'll be amazed how good a curry u'll be able to turn out. just make sure u give yourself plenty of time to do the all the prep work in advance so u can concentrate fully on the cooking.
i've made SnS's base and it's not bad at all. Not made George's Korma but i know he's defo into them and so should be good. the only korma i've made was ronnoc's and it was very good http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=2332.msg20045#msg20045 (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=2332.msg20045#msg20045)

I've had a lot of 'errors' in the past let me tell you.
Anyway. SnS's sauce is on the hob now. Looking good so far.
Time to start cooking the lamb soon......
.....and crack open a beer and listen to a new album I just had delivered by Maximo Park!
Cheers Jerry.
Mick.

i'm still having errors (u've got to for me to push the boundaries).
i do same on the beer and cooking - hopefully cooking gets finished before the beer. not come across maximo.
keep us all posted on how u get on and just post any questions if u can't find answers by searching the site (there's a mass of info on the search).
best wishes,

Cheers Jerry.
Last night was a complete success.
SnS's base is yummy. So much so that I can't resist knocking something else up tonight :)
The choice on here is unbelieveable. My only problem now is what to do now! :P

Deadman,
everyone seems to have slightly different tastes so what suits does not suit all.
the dishes i make regular are CK's CTM (using CA's tikka), Admins Jalfrezi, Ashoka Bhuna Korahi and my own Madras Curry Sauce.
i've added links below as a starting point:
