Title: Curry Mad Brit living in New Zealand
Post by: leemako on January 15, 2009, 02:40 AM
Hello everyone, very glad to be a part of this forum - looks like just what im after. I have recently moved to NZ after spending the last 8 years living in Portsmouth where I was spoilt with fantastic curries. Im now finding it very difficult to find a good curry house in my new country, can anyone recommend a decent Indian in Auckland?

I have decided in the mean time to put my cooking skills to the test, very interested in making some tasty curries with a nice heat. Has anyone ever made a Dharjeeling? My fav Curry house in pompey used to do it, was a dry curry that came with a seperate sauce you added to suit your prefrence.

Hi Lee.

I recently joined and tried the Bruce Edwards base with the simple madras curry from the main recipe section with real good results.

Go for it, you'll get good results from day 1
