Hello all just wanted to introduce myself. I am Don and I am from Michigan in the United States.
I love Curries and am in a running battle with my Dad as to who makes the better curry... however I fear we both are rank ameatures when in the company on this web site.
I am interested in learning more about Curries and Indian Food in general, I really strive for the Authentic. And appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Hi Masaladon. Welcome aboard. Good to see some more North Americans on this site. I'm north of the border in Ontario Canada.
This site is a great resource, but keep in mind the focus here is "British Indian", not so much authentic Indian. There's a difference in the dishes, the cooking time, and even ingredients. For me, the British Indian is what I strive for.
So pick out a curry base, and knock up a few of the curries and see for yourself!

Hi Don,
As Josh says this site is mainly concentrated on replicating the restaurants we have in the UK and not authentic Indian cooking, all though most people on here love both 8)

I have looked at this site and love it. A SUPER resource, and I tend to like the UK-WAY as my friends say....
I really enjoy curries, I would rather have a good Curry and some Nann over Chinese anyday. And I make them all of the time. You will be seeing me alot in here, as a matter of fact I am going to make a curry now and thenpost the pics and recipie in the forums..
Thanks for the warm welcome...
