Title: creamed coconut
Post by: scotty99 on May 26, 2008, 06:40 PM
I have a 200g block of pure creamed coconut, any suggestions what to do with it?  (keep it clean!!) Would like to use it in a main curry dish, trad or BIR, may be lamb or chicken dish.

Cheers Scott

Try sticking 50g or so into a batch of base sauce to enhance the taste.

Hi Scott
Maybe you could use some in a CTM.

As Bobby has said it can add a certain tang to a base or why not try my CTM here:

Tried yout CTM today Curry King, spot on!!, used the Rajver base which worked well. Only thing was the absense of red food dye(non in the cupboard) tricked my brain into thinking it wasnt a CTM, when my taste buds knew it was.Was a bit lazy though and just used a Tikka curry powder from Tesco.... and made it with ghee bought from there too!!
