how do I make a sweet curry base to go with a prawn curry   

thus making a sweet prawn curry but reasonable spiced

The base don't really matter too much, but if you want a sweet one try Darth's base.
For the main curry I would go for a Pathia, sweet and sour and highly flavoured.
