Title: Today's Lunch
Post by: Chris303 on March 20, 2008, 03:32 PM
Today I went to one of my favourite Curry houses in Glasgow - "The Wee Curry Shop" on Byres Road and ordered a Garlic Chile Chicken. Well this is some serious garlic - a full large bulb of Garlic in the one single serving as well as about a hundred chopped green chiles  ;D

I thought they wouldnt let me back in the office after that bad boy  :o ;D

glad you?re well into the garlic.

i always go for garlic chicken if on the menu. a sylheti is also worth looking out for.

at home i try to replicate by slicing cloves from full bulb into slithers. then divide in 2. cook 1/2 in microwave 1 min or so with a little olive oil. fry the other 1/2 till a little brown. add both to dish after base goes in. top notch.

Have you ever just used the olive oil spray? I sometimes use that in a Le Cresuet
pan when it is a small amount of onion. Works rather well.(for me). :D

Assam-it,

nice idea. i've just come round to using a spray in my diy work (diluted washing up liquid) to fix/smooth sealants.

i can imagine it being a time/help saver in cooking and going to look out for a sprayer i can convert (thinking say "x" number of shots = 1tbsp etc).
