I can't find some of the spices where I live in the Netherlands. Does anybody know which are the best brands of spices to use? also if anyone uses an online shop to order their spices from?
Thanks
LJ :)

I've used Natco before and we used to have a discount code for members of cr0, not sure if it is still valid though:

That's who I use and they do deliver to the Netherlands, postage might cost you a bit though, but if you are buying in bulk it might well be worth it.
Oh and welcome to cr0 :)

Hi LJ
You can get your spices from here.
http://www.spicesofindia.co.uk/
I have just spoken with the owner and he tells me they will deliver to anywhere in Europe.
Over 30.00 pounds order value, the delivery is 10.00 pounds to Netherlands
Under 30.00 pounds order value the delivery is 15.00 pounds to Netherlands
Regards

ps One Euro is 0.75 Pounds

They cover most things and their delivery is superb, one of my favourite web shops and rank alongside Amazon, Maplins and Screwfix for just getting stuff to your door very very quick.
No I don't work there, I just like effient web shopping as it is supposed to be :)

This morning I ordered 32 squids worth of spices from them - including 2 x 400g Al Noor Bassar Masala !
Free delivery (over 30 squid) ...

In fact their on line service is the best I've experienced.
Ordered a load of spices yesterday at 11.30 (previous post) and they arrived this morning at 9.30.
Can't ask for a better service than that. Well chuffed.
SnS ;D
ps: Bassar masala smells wonderful, can't wait to use it.

Seriously they're it's not all for me. I really wanted to try the Bassar Masala, but nowhere round here sells the stuff, so I went to Spices of India. I wasn't going to spend 5 squid on delivery so I ordered a few other bits (as you do).
Now I'll have to use spices in every meal for the next 6 months. ::)

I would really like to try that out aswell. I'm keen to know you get on. Do you use it in place of Garam M or spice mix or??? Appologies for being a little off topic here.
