Just wondering...... Does anyone think that it's a good thing that anyone in the world can visit this website and in an instant and without any previous toil or cost, have the recipe to make a BIR curry??
Or, is that exactly what the WWW is all about????
I'm not sure.

Are you concerned about the BIR's?
Whilst I can cook pretty damn good curries, I will always wander down to my local once a week, you just cant beat the whole experience.
I think this site is great, we need to spread the curry gospel!
-
I will still go to my take away (twice a month) even if i copied them exactly ,sometimes you just cant be assed to cook.

Does anyone think that it's a good thing
Yes!
Whats the alternative, close this forum and go back to reading Khis Dhillion and Pat Chapman books? :o
Either that or forking out 5 quid a go for yet another renamed, "secrets of the restaurant chefs" ebook on ebay!!

Anything more than a cursory glance at the site will show that it is full of people trying to make BIR curry's and not quite getting there! Seems that we are all 90-95% there, and just missing the final few %.

Also without it being public we wouldnt have got all the great new members over the last few months

I was thinking that as this forum has now got nearly 200 members what if we all went into a different restaurant\takeaway on Friday night and asked the usual questions, whats in the gravy, vindaloo recipe etc... Then came back and reported our finds, surely between 200 separate inquiries we must be able to come up with something?
