Has anyone tried Ratan Jot (Alkenet Root ) in a Vindaloo/Tindaloo ??? ??? ???

No , i have never used it .
I think it is a coloring agent.

Yes, used in Kashmiri dishes , i may get some & see if it gives any flavor as well as a golden yellow colour.

I thought it was just used mainly for colour?
