Title: Upgrading Forum
Post by: Yousef on April 25, 2007, 08:50 AM
I am upgrading the forum, so please bear with me whilst this is carried out.
You can still use the forum, it just does not look as pretty.

Hi Stew,

Is anything new going to be added or is it just a new version?

I am upgrading the forum

Can you please let us know what upgrades you are planning to implement Stew?

Are you planning to implement any of the suggestions made by members here http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=1641.0 (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=1641.0)?

Hi Stew,

I see that there are now some formatting problems......e.g. fractions and inverted comas now show as question marks....see here for example:  http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=1448.0 (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=1448.0)

Or maybe this is only a temporary format?

When I log in and click to view unread posts since last visit it says there are none,
but when entering the home page there have been new posts. Is it just "teething trouble" Like the new look. Keep up the good work..

I like the fresh new look. Well done.

I spoke too soon! I'm sorry but I don't like the even newer look as much as the one a few days back. The centred format seems to make the text too small and I just don't like the appearance as much, overall.

I love the new look, I thought the one from a few days ago was very bland and uninspiring.

Hi Stew,

It also seems that some hyperlinks are no longer working (e.g. the "member map" hyperlink http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?action=mm in your thread here http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=1088.0).  Others no longer work too  >:(
