Title: New Subscriber in a non-curry land!
Post by: graemebowring on March 28, 2007, 04:03 PM
Bonjour, we live in Dept. 16, France where Indian cuisine is very rare! Some supermarkets are putting some spices on their shelves but most of what we use has to be sourced in UK when we visit. Fortunately, our daughter in UK has an Indian neighbour who will buy spices for us from his local supplier. We have a selection of cook books but we are always ready to learn more.

Hi and welcome
I too live in France, Dept 17 so we are practically neighbours! I cook curries once a month for a group of fellow ex pat curry heads, maybe you would like to join in?
Also, do you know about EuroAsia? Its a big asian supermarket in Bordeaux, quite near Ikea. I find I can get most (but  not all!) my spices, poppadums, spring roll wrappers etc from there. Bonne Chance! Berni
