It looks like the local militia have finally hacked him off so much he has taken his much appreciated advice elsewhere.

The activity on this site has certainly taken a turn for the worse in the last couple of days because of it.

I see CP is conspicuous by his absence too!  i suppose that will get the conspiracy theorists at it again.  What a shame, i thought this forum was suddenly getting really off the ground and we would crack it.  maybe someone will set up another Forum..... and so on.

I've just bought the two pans needed for Andy's base! He did mention starting something though, obviously, this would take time.

CurryGit, have you tried KD's recipe?  I know!, I know!, everyone hates her recipes, but that one's pretty good, especially if you use her garam masala and a better base sauce.  It turns out dark brown, not red and tomatoey (which I don't like).

How sad is this -- no sooner is Andy gone than we start talking about KD again! >:(

Well, hes always gonna get "hacked off" if he thinks everyone isnt "listening and learning" to his self-proclaimed wisdom im afraid  ::)

God forbid KP, he (WU) will just wreck that one too!!!  But where did Andy say he was setting up a new site?  We should leave WoksUp, YF, and CK here in their playpen, with a bowl of chillies to suck on.  :o ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey currygit

That would be good! then the 'spice masters' and 'curry gods' can insult each other here and let those of us who want to try new things _before_ dissing them to do so in peace. Critique is OK by me, but not the childish personal attacks that this group has sunk to. >:(

I would bet that if any of the 1000 members on here were bir chefs thinking of posting, they won't now! :-X

Think this will remain a 'home invented cooking' place for a while now.

AS for the channa masala, it's not a complicated dish and a web search should put you in the right direction. PC has a nice one but it's definitely not a bir one!

LOL, this forum has to be the biggest source of BIR style curry recipes and information,  not just on the internet but anywhere!

But most of the 'bases' here are from the members who invented them at home in their kitchens!

Yes, cg, I see why you call yourself "the git"!   ::)

I "wrecked" this site did I?  Why?  Because I dared to presume and question if cp and andy were really one in the same person?  Or because I dared to presume to ask andy for more information on his friends takeaway and restaurant?  Yes, "the git" indeed!   ;D

PS:  Moderartors - this is cg's own term for himself, not mine!  :P

Not true, Id say the ones from true BIR sources are in the majority

I hope we all use our same screen names on Andy's site.  That way, we'll know right where to go to find the fireworks! ;)
