Hello everyone my name is Pat ( Male Patrick) and I love cooking. Always used tins, pastes etc before. I know I know its a sin so thats why I'm here to learn from everyone how its done properly.
I've been shopping and got my basics:
Ginger, garlic, fresh chillis, cumin, corrinder, turmeric, garam masala, ghee, curry powder, chilli powder and cardomom seeds ( although not sure what thats for )
So am I ready to go or am I missing some more basic stuff.
Looking forward to chatting to everyone and lets get started !
Cheers. Pat

Welcome Pat :)
...don'f forget your onions, tomato paste and rice!...and then you're probably pretty much sorted!
Just flick though some of the recipes here and get a feel for some of the other ingredients...though I think you've probably got most of the more important ones!
Regards,

Thanks for evryones welcome. And the result of my WOWING was..................................................................................................YEAH!
For my first attempt I was well chuffed with the outcome.
I used Vind Looo's base sauce & Darthphall's 100% Madras clone. I even tried the nan bread from watching the video ( didn't realise how easy that could be) And some basmalti rice with cardamom pods and turmeric.
Cheers for your great receipes and help, oh yes ........and for pleaseing the wife !
