I have recently took to drinking real ale and I must say after mainly drinking lager
For many a year I've surprised myself by enjoying different types of real ale I've found that once you aquire the taste it's rather addictive LOL. Here is one such tipple I enjoy

after 10 years of stopping drinking, I've started again with Glenfiddich Whiskey
I just have a nightcap
I started out not liking it, that much
But within a week, it's become the highlight of the day
I stopped drinking, because I got really bad headaches, but this stuff has no side effects
Cheers!

You can't beat a nightcap of whiskey I also have a nightcap of whiskey my favourite one is Jura original a small nip before going to bed purely medicinal

De Bortoli Noble One Botrytis Semillon from Oz. Not normally a country whose wines I would choose to drink, but Noble One is simply unputdownable. Even better than Tokaj, IMHO.

Used to be Miller (Lite) - until they stopped making the tinnies in UK. Settled on Carlsberg after that.
If in an Indian, I prefer draught Kingfisher over Cobra - latter upsets my stomach.

Yes it's usually kingfisher or peroni for me when out having a curry

Jura isn't too expensive in the field of whiskey, and not a bad tipple.
I'm currently supping on one of my own 5.2% pale ale, influenced with Citra and Apollo hops and a slight biscuity flavour from some Munich malt.

Probably the best ale I have ever tasted

Real ales are great to drink, and they give you that warmth that lagers don't. Lately too I've been having a small brandy once or twice a week as a treat to myself. Tesco's do a good brandy pretty cheap, can't recall the brand at the moment, but I did some research before I bought, and it has good reviews.
I'm not a purist, so I take coke in my brandy (and scotch if I have one). Blasphemy I know, but I don't care.

Brandy and cocaine -- now /there's/ an idea I'd not previously considered ...

Love NZ Marlborough! Tesco finest version is very good.
Whiskys, love peaty ones, like this Ardbeg Uigeadail -

An explosion in your mouth, especially at 54% proof! :o
Also, just about my favourite, best all round whisky is Old Pulteney 21 year old, fantastic stuff -

Also partial to some good bourbons.
If you are after cheap whisky, gin, liquors have a look here (about 20-30% cheaper for very good gins, malt whiskys and bourbons).
