Just asking if there is a beginners basic curry recipe that one should be conversant with before jumping in the deep end and adding all the bells and whistles.
I've read a few recipes on here which other forum members have pulled apart so I'm a bit reluctant to try them. I could do without any disasters for my first few attempts.
I want to get that basic one under my belt before buying too many ingredients, spices and equipment.
Thank you.
Maybe "Phil's Phoolproof Curry (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,12535.msg101714.html#msg101714)", or Kris Dhillon's Chicken Madras (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=5128.0) ?

This is about as basic as it gets:
Chicken Medium Curry with Taz Base
Ingredients:
1 portion pre-cooked chicken
400 ml Taz curry base gravy
1 level tbsp tomato puree mixed with 1 tbsp. water
1 tsp garlic ginger paste
1 tsp BE spice mixture
Thanks guys I'll try a couple of these ideas.
Good call Stephen
Its always great to have a working basic easy curry, comes in handy when trying new base gravies
