Just wondering what the rest of you serve.? I normally have plain basmati rice, cucumber raita, and LOTS?of Indian pickle.? Our favorite is hot peeled-mango pickle, but can't always find that, so then we'll get mixed pickle (both Pachranga Foods).? I used to make chapatis (pain in the neck!), but now I'm experimenting with naan.? Hot lime pickle is another favorite (local brand), and a sweet-and-hot tomato chutney (homemade), but, for the most part, we don't like sweet chutneys with curry.? Does anyone else have a favorite pickle, chutney, whatever?? Or should I say "favourite"? ;)

Oops!? I forgot to say "beer."? To me, a spicy curry needs beer.? Although I did read an interview with an Indian man who, when asked what he drinks with curries, said he always drinks "Scotch."?

Has to be Tiger beer :P for me and Tesco's popodums which you can eat straight out of the packet.
I have gone off Cobra Beer, its to sharp and I dont think it mixes well with curry.

Nan (bought, I'm afraid).
Cucumber Raita
Onion and corriander salad
Basmati rice, into which I add the seeds from 2 cardamom pods, and about 5 corriander seeds with 2 vanes of star anise, the later two (i.e. not the cardamom) lightly crushed so that the pieces are about the same size as the cardamom seeds.
Mango chutnuy and hot lime pickle.
If you just add one thing, make it plenty of fresh corriander leaves.

Plain yoghurt with a 1/2 teaspoon of mint, pinch of garam masala and chilli.
Ahmed chilli pickle in oil.
Chopped raw chilli is great.
Chopped onion, tomato, coriander, lemon juice and salt mixture.
I normally have a side dish as well as a main dish.
