Title: 50 favourite Curries.

I was in "The Works" this morning and noticed they were knocking out
50 Great Curries of Thailand by Vatcharin Bhuichitr. Same publisher as the Camellia Panjabi 50 Favourite Curries of India, same size book in a similar presentation so they sit well together on the shelf.

I love this book and really enjoy making the curries finding some of the spices can be challenging though but I've probably sourced most of them now.

It is indeed a great book, and I had the considerable pleasure of meeting the author in person at a birthday party last year.  Very friendly, and a very interesting lady to whom to talk.  Which spices did you find it hardest to source ?

Hi Phil most spices can usually be found with a little extra effort but sometimes the recipes call for stuff like bayleaf powder or maybe green cardamom powder or ajwain seed! ratan jot a natural colouring agent! there are to many to list then all but this is all part of the excitement of making curries! I'm sure your the same
