Anyone tried it? How did it turn out?
Hi Sverige, Couldn't afford tinned soup at today's prices ;D
I'm fairly certain this topic has been discussed on the forum before and some have actually tried it.
Don't fancy it myself - but any port in a storm!
PS: A quick search for "soup" threw up a few possibilities, including this one for onion soup

I've made base in the soup maker. ;)
I might give this a go and report back
Asda have Baxter's French onion soup on offer at 50p each.
Bought 3 tins of it to experiment with.
I'll post my results when I get round to making a base with it.
Run out of base once and had to use homemade parsnip soup. The resultant curry (bhuna) was actually very good. My mate- the curry recipient wolfed it down without complaint????. Must have been hungry and/or very polite/drunk lol
Regards
Mick
Hate to be a bad apple in this thread, but if it were me I may as well just buy a jar of curry sauce if you going to buy soup to make a curry sauce, it is full of the same preservatives. Unless you buy fresh soup at
I'm not sure I follow the logic here, LC :
