Title: Lunch Time Leftovers
Post by: Gav Iscon on January 21, 2015, 01:24 PM
Last night, after a bit inspiration from the photo of Chewy's Murgh Sagwalla, (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,12815.msg104518.html#msg104518) I had a go at one last night using fresh spinach along with some fresh chillis and boned and skinned leg. I also made the wifes obligatory Chicken Ceylon (chicken breast). Both very nice (IMO) and I had the leftovers today with a drizzle of Glasgow Salad (just for Phil and Stephen Lindsay.)

Theres also enough base left in the pan to knock up a couple of sauces for the freezer.  :) :)

What's your address, Gav ?  My solicitor will need to send you a bill to cover the cost of having my keyboard cleaned.

** Phil.

;D ;D I even over cooked them a tad due to a phone call.
You should try it sometime, much nicer than the raw Richmonds  ;)

I'm defintitely going to try with Hestons triple cooked chips (http://www.insearchofheston.com/2013/10/how-to-make-heston-blumenthals-triple-cooked-chips-recipe-a-definitive-step-by-step-guide/) one day. Tried them once when someone else made them and they were very good and crying out to be smothered in 'liquamine deorum'  (God's sauce just didn't sound quite right  ::) )

If I'd made the sagwalla dish a bit hotter and added 2 halves of egg, I think I would be just about at my favourite curry of all time (up to now)  :P

If you left those chips cooking any longer I would have sworn they where Garps  ;)

I thought of them as a tribute to the 'noughties' band The Darkness.

You are letting yourself down, Andy, with both your constant criticism, and your grasp of the English language.

I assume you have joined the Cult of the Prophet Chewhammed.

Please get off my case and do what you do best.......whatever that may be :)

Well as I had some base left in the pan from yesterday, I decided on another Sagwalla this time with extra fresh chilli and more extra hot chilli powder and also the inclusion of egg and plenty chicken. I know I made it but it hit all of my ideal curry requirements  :).  Base JB's with mix powder from a local BIR for those interested. Served with a couple of Chapatis and some poppadoms.
I also knocked up a madras for the freezer which I'm sure will end up making Phil unwell  ;D
